EXPLORE · TRADE · FIGHT · BELONG

Three months ago your brother Kaleb Doran flew escort for a convoy that never made it home, and Concord closed the search on the ninth day. You took a freelance contract on the same lane not long after, telling yourself you're just making a living. You're not. You're listening for an echo.

StarLane is a low-poly space trading and combat game about building a life between the stars while pulling on a thread that was never meant to unravel. Dock at eleven stations across five hand-built systems, haul cargo where the margins are good, take contract work from the people who actually need it done, and talk to the bartenders and regulars who remember more than they let on.

What you'll do

  • Trade — buy low, sell high, and learn which stations pay for what. Prices move with supply, demand, and the news you pick up in the cantina.
  • Fight — pirates work the trade lanes, and a loaded cargo hold makes you a target. Upgrade your ship, manage shields under fire, and decide when a fight is worth taking.
  • Follow the story — an eleven-chapter mystery about a convoy that never made it home, told through comic-panel cutscenes and cantina conversations with the people who each know one piece of it.
  • Belong — every station has its own bartender, its own regulars, its own rumours. Nobody in this galaxy exists only to hand you a mission.

This demo covers the prologue convoy escort and the first chapters of the story — enough to get a feel for flying, trading, and where the mystery is headed. Arc I continues the investigation as a paid expansion once it's ready.

We'd love your feedback. This is a solo-developed project and the demo is here to find out what's working before Arc I ships — what felt great, what felt confusing, and what you'd like to see more of. Leave a comment or a rating on this page; it genuinely shapes what gets built next.
